Robert F. La Pier is considered by many to be the leading authority in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST also incorrectly stated by Police Officers and Prosecutors as FST's). Attorney Rodriguez has successfully completed the Student Training Course on Standardized Filed Sobriety Testing offered by Mr. La Pier and approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Not many Attorneys have taken and successfully completed the rigorous program offered by Mr. La Pier. His top stated objective is to make sure that his students perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing only in the manner approved by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration in order to keep and maintain the highest integrity of testing procedures.

Attorney Rodriguez is one of only a handful of attorneys certified in the performance of Standarized Field Sobriety Tests. This is a great assest in fighting any DUI allegation. Most officers will not perform the tests in the required manner. By failing to do so, the results are useless in determining whether someone is under the influence. A certified person is best able to know what the Officer has done wrong.
