QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS > APPEALS > When should I appeal my case?
Many people think that an appeal is a do over. Not so. An appeal is a review by a higher Court of legal issues in the trial of the case. Legal issues are errors, if any, of law. Factual issues will not be reviewed (with some exceptions). So if you think that the Judge made an error in law, by all means file your notice of appeal. If you think that the Judge should have believed fact "A" over fact "B", or witness 1 over witness 2, then you should really reconsider. In any case if you are thinking of filing an appeal, you should always consult with us, it's free!
